Gartner Symposium ITxpo 2009

The Gartner Symposium ITxpo is the IT industry's largest conference for senior IT strategists and business professionals charged with making technology decisions. It is also one of Australia's largest gatherings of CIOs and their direct reports, drawing attendees from the entire Asia Pacific region. This year's event held 17th to 19th November in Sydney drew nearly 1,000 delegates. Nortel was a sponsor of the event showcasing at its booth a theme of 'Optimising IT Spend' with demos encompassing Nortel's ACE, Unified Communications, Data and Contact Centre solutions. Customer Peter van der Burg, Manager Information Services from Porirua City Council in New Zealand, presenting during Nortel's Solution Provider Session on how and why they transitioned to Unified Communications and Contact Centre 7.0 solutions to increase customer service and meet the demands of mobility for council staff.
